You remain in our thoughts. Hope all is going well. And it's okay to rage at the unfairness of it all..as though you needed our permission. Hope to see you soon at Red House.

Bob Manning:Alla my second set I ever owned was a white pearl set.I was in my early teens I loved the sound.my first set was a white roxie I got in the 6th grade. My third set was my slingerland Gold swirl set.All three sets were made of different wood.I!ve also sat on but did not own yamaha- tama- soner-Gretch and tama Drum sets.Of all the wood set I!ve played on. For Quality sturdyness craftmenship and tone quality,( before I bought my 1975 Ludwig clear) is by far slingerland. There in a class by them self in wood sets. All the greatest durmmers that ever lived used slingerland.Rich ,roach, Belson, morello the list goes on and on.Even though I played on many wooden drum sets.I had a problem with them all.Overtones on the drums tom toms ect. When I got on the vesterlite clear set for the first time,I was amazed how persice I had to be on the drums, because there was no overtones to cover up the slop.If your doing a drum roll around the drums you better be doing a perfect roll or it will pick up every missed beat or stroke. It made me a better drummer. It forced me to be percise in every aspect in my drumming.Example if you listen to my drum solo I start off in a single stroke roll then to a double stroke then to almost a buzzing bee sound that!s me doing a triple stroke roll.I learned from buddy rich.I don!t know of to many drummers that do tripple stroke roll like buddy rich.By learning this it made me more persice going around the Drums I!ve had many very good drummers play my set. Some a lot better than me,told me they love the sound but the drums picks up every little flaw you have. These drums force me to improve.Bob Manning(Drummer)

Hey, Alla,
I hope we do meet up. Yes, we all do love Johnny Nitro--and his wife Sylvia is great! Every heard her play sax? She'll set the place on fire!
