Red House is turning out to be a really fun experience for me. I get to discover my skills in a safe environment, and Red House people and patrons have been nothing but supportive. Johnny Nitro is a great mentor and has made sure to include me in as many opportunities as possible to perform. I'm learning a lot and having a great time.

Thank you to all who attended and participated in the Benefit for Nick Webb on March 7th. In combination with a other donors, we have now met our goal and Nick will get his surgery! We couldn't have done it without you.

Benefit at JJ’s Blues for drummer Nick Webb’s surgery - this Saturday

March 7th Johnny Nitro will be hosting a Benefit to help raise funds for Nick at JJ’s Blues, 3439 Stevens Creek, Santa Clara, CA 95117. The show is 7:00-11:00 pm. Johnny has invited his Bay Area friends to help out, including saxophonist Sylvia Cicardini, Red House All Stars and The Marandys. A large portion of the show will be a jam session and raffle.

With help, band flies high after almost going down in flames

The story of how East Bay musicians rescued our band’s maiden flight in trouble.

A small group of us had been working hard to learn some blues at Red House Studios in Walnut Creek under the supervision of Johnny Nitro. I’m probably the greenest of the group but working hard and gaining confidence as a singer. So when my manager at work invited us to perform for our clients, I was delighted. Our very first gig!
